COVID PROTOCOLS for ORTHODONTIC TREATMENT
Dear Patients and Families
We are pleased to announce that the National Cabinet has rescinded the Level 3 Dental Restriction and moved Dental Services to a Level 2 Restriction effective Monday 27 April.
Level 2 restrictions allow orthodontic treatment to resume which is great news.
- If you had an appointment cancelled due to the Covid-19 Level 3 restriction a new appointment will be sent to you in the coming weeks by SMS. We ask that you make every effort to keep this appointment.
- If you have a normal scheduled appointment in the coming weeks please simply keep this appointment (unless notified) as is. As per normal you should receive an SMS reminder.
- If you notified us of a problem during the shut-down we will prioritise your next appointment.
- If you had a New Patient Consultation or a treatment start deferred and rebooked, we will attempt to bring this forward to as soon as possible and will contact you.
Please note under level two restrictions, strict social distancing still applies for the health and safety of patients, staff and the community. We ask that ONLY the patient attend with no family or parents to come to the waiting room unless they have a question. If the patient is of primary school age or is a New Patient Consultations a parent is welcome to attend
ALL PATIENTS SHOULD BRING THEIR OWN SUNGLASSES FOR EYE PROTECTION
We trust everyone has remained safe and well.
The Staff at Orthodontics Exclusively
Welcome to Orthodontics Exclusively
At Orthodontics Exclusively, our goal is the creation of a beautiful smile while maximising facial aesthetics and providing the best possible function for each patient. We are orthodontists in Sydney who specialise in the treatment of children and adults.
We are the longest established, and one of the largest orthodontic practices in Sydney, enabling each partner to pursue sub-specialisation within orthodontics; thus providing the highest order of patient care. All partners are leaders in non-extraction orthodontic treatment and are highly skilled in dental braces, Invisalign, invisible braces, functional appliances, robotic braces, mini-implant, skeletal anchorage and surgical orthodontics.
What happens at my first visit?
Your Orthodontist will listen to your concerns and undertake a detailed clinical examination. If you already have an appointment arranged but have not received any forms, please complete our Orthodontic records may be taken to assist in the clinical examination or for analysing/planning the course of orthodontic care necessary.
What will increase my treatment time?
Normal orthodontic treatment times can vary according to the initial orthodontic problem and your orthodontist will inform you of an approximate treatment time. Treatment can be delayed, however, if appointments are missed, brackets (or appliances) are broken or oral hygiene is poor.
Can I still play sports that require mouthguards?
Yes, there is no barrier to orthodontics if a mouthguard is required. Your Orthodontist can fit your teeth with a mouthguard to accommodate the braces also.
